Stress and Acne

Stress is any situation that brings a change in our body. It is not just mental exhaustion but can be physical as well. Stress can be negative or positive. It is there when you are sad or frustrated it is also there when you are exhilarated with victory.
There is a deep connection between stress and acne. Every one of us has suffered an outburst of pimples right before exams or before some big event. This is just not luck, but the psychological conditions breaks out in the form of acne.
Whenever we are under stress our body produces a hormone from our adrenal glands called testosterone. This hormone makes the pores on our skin produce more oil. This oil as you know causes the pimples to pop out o your skin! Thus stress causes acne by increasing the oil production on our skin. The chance men getting acne ia more as they have more testosterone and in women, it is offset a little by progesterone.
Although, it is inevitable that we stress ourselves once in a while but you must try to avoid it as much as you can for the sake of your skin. The most important thing is try to find out what stresses you the most and stay away from it! Though it is not possible always, but do not let things affect you a lot. This is for spiritual upliftment as well
